State Expansion Coordinator

Position Summary:
The State Expansion Coordinator will work closely with the Healthy Birth Day, Inc. State Expansion team on tasks related deliverables and our work to expand the Count the Kicks program in partner states. The State Expansion Coordinator reports to our State Expansion Project Administrator and will support HBD’s mission and values while gaining professional skills.
Key Responsibilites
External Outreach in Partner States
● Create, schedule and host highly effective presentations that raise awareness about Count the Kicks and how to implement it in clinical and non-clinical settings.
● Oversee promotion of State Expansion webinars and other events, including creating graphics, sending emails, and managing registration lists.
● Coordinate and execute external communications initiatives, including press releases, radio ads, billboards, presentation slides, printed materials and emails.
● Work in Monday.com to manage communications deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate project management.
● Make regular and accurate updates to Count the Kicks website related to state expansion efforts, including free material locations and partnership updates.
● Work with the State Expansion Project Administrator to track and analyze the effectiveness of state expansion communication campaigns to ensure optimal results.
Follow Brand Standards and Organizational Processes
● Utilize Healthy Birth Day, Inc. and Count the Kicks brand standards across all communication platforms and presentations.
● Maintain consistent messaging and strictly follow FAQs, talking points, and other guidelines provided by the Communications Director.
● Use online design tools (e.g., Canva, Piktochart) to create, edit, and maintain state expansion materials.
● Follow, create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and consistency.

Education:
● Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience in presentations, project management and/or communications role with strong technological proficiency.
● Experience in public health and/or maternal health is a bonus, but not required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Professional presentation skills and public speaking experience
● Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
● Highly organized and self-motivated
● Sound knowledge of key tools including Canva, Piktochart, or other design platforms
● Proficient with Microsoft office suite products and Google Suite
● Generally proficient and adaptable at learning new software programs
● Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Excellent written and verbal communication

Travel: None aside from occasional trips in the Des Moines metro area
Hours: 40 hours per week, Non Exempt
